Lady Gaga helps donate

Lady Gaga designed a prayer bracelet made available to purchase online. She let fans know via Twitter that all proceeds would be donated to help with the relief effort for Japan following a devestating Earthquake that occured on March 11, 2011. Lady Gaga's online shop http://ladygaga.shop.bravadousa.com/Default.aspx sold the bracelet for $5 with the option of additional donation.

Lady Gaga has empowered people of Japan by creating an easy way to donate to a cause. Just by purchasing a bracelet we are able to do our part and help others in need. Survivors of the earthquake and tsunami were empowered by Lady Gaga using her celebrity to gain awareness for their situation. Roughly $3,000,000 has been raised so far by the sale of the relief bracelets. Lady Gaga has power. She has millions of fans that watch her and support her. She has used this power to reach people and give them a way to donate to Japan. She used her blog, Facebook, and Twitter to tell fans to buy bracelets. Other media sources such as magazines and other celebrity news outlets also commented on Lady Gaga selling these bracelets. Celebrity power is far reaching and effective as we can tell from the donation.
